Dr. Stephanie Altenburg has been a part of the Barry Road Dental Group practice for more than 30 years. She was the dental assistant and eventually an associate of the practice's previous owner. She and Dr. Tim Altenburg purchased the practice in 2004.
Dr. Stephanie is a life-long resident of Kansas City, Missouri. A Park Hill High School alumni, she is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School Dentistry.
While she enjoys all aspects of dentistry, Dr. Stephanie's passion is her cosmetic work, taking broken smiles that people are embarrassed of and want to hide, and giving them a healthy, happy smile they'll be proud of.
"They just can't stop smiling," says Dr. Stephanie. "It is gratifying."

Dr. Tim, also a life-long resident of Kansas City, Missouri, is a graduate of the UMKC School of Dentistry.
Before entering the field of dentistry, Dr. Tim owned and operated a sign company. This job, unlike dentistry, allowed Tim to showcase his artistic abilities.
When you enter our office you can see first-hand what a talented artist Dr. Tim is. There is a sculpture of killer whales in our waiting room that he carved and painted himself.
The Altenburgs have two sons and are members of the Cornerstone Bible Church.
